To promote education, the government provides primary school facilities in every village, but in many villages the high school is a little far away, due to which after completing education up to class VIII, most of the daughters used to leave their studies due to the school being far away, keeping this in view, Saraswati Cycle Scheme was started by the Chhattisgarh government to encourage the girl students.
Through this scheme, free bicycles were distributed to the girl students who crossed class VIII and went to 9th to provide them convenience for transportation in their further education. The girls who benefited through Saraswati Cycle Scheme also started continuing their further studies.
Chhattisgarh Government Girls have benefited a lot from the scheme of Chhattisgarh Government. Through Saraswati Cycle Scheme, preparations have been started to distribute bicycles to 2600 girl students in Rajnandgaon this year. In Rajnandgaon city, the work of fitting the parts of bicycles is being done on a war footing by the artisans. Regarding distribution of cycles to girl students, Rajnandgaon Collector Sanjay Agarwal said that the Chhattisgarh government through the School Education Department provides cycles to girls taking admission in 9th class under the Saraswati Cycle Yojana. This time, cycles will be provided to 2600 girl students in the district and this has already started.
