CG News: 3 accused of assaulting and robbing a youth arrested

Janjgir-Champa. In Chhattisgarh’s Janjgir-Champa district, the driver and helper who were sleeping after parking their vehicle on the roadside were beaten up. They robbed their mobile, online cash and pickup. Now the police have arrested 4 accused. While the search for other accused is on. The incident is from Champa police station area. The victim Yogesh Patel (34) told the police that he has a poultry farm. On June 17, at 4 am, he reached Dwarika Prasad’s house in Mahuda village to take the goods from his pickup. When the poultry farm was closed, he was sleeping after parking his pickup on the roadside. Meanwhile, around 4.30 am, 6 to 7 people came in 3 bikes. They started beating him and asked for his mobile password and bank balance. They threatened to kill him if he did not tell.

He was beaten with a stick and threatened with a knife. Out of fear, he told the mobile password. After which, Rs 70,000 was transferred from his phone to their phone. On demand of more money, they made a call through someone else and made him transfer Rs. 40,000. In this way, they looted Rs. 1,10,000, mobile and pickup and fled. They left Yogesh and his companion at Kera Jharia and the pickup near Kudri Barrage. In this case, Champa police detained accused Prashant Chauhan (23), Mukesh (23), Raju Chauhan (32) and Pralay Pradhan (34) and interrogated them. The accused have admitted to committing the crime. 3 bikes, knives, swords and Rs. 91,000 cash have been recovered from them.
