Raipur News: Raipur. Secretary of Women and Child Development Department, Smt. Shammi Abidi held a review meeting of the officials of the districts implementing the Niyyad Nellnar Yojana at Indravati Bhawan on Wednesday. In the meeting, she took information about the progress being made on the ground and instructed the officials to work on mission mode so that the area can be made malnutrition free. She also asked to ensure that mothers and sisters get 100 percent benefit of all the schemes of the government.
Smt. Abidi said that under the Niyyad Nellnar Yojana, the benefits of the welfare schemes of the government in Kanker, Narayanpur, Dantewada, Bijapur and Sukma districts of Bastar division are to be delivered to the people in a planned manner. The Secretary instructed the officials that all the beneficiaries should get the benefit of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Ready to Eat, and Noni Suraksha Yojana of the Women and Child Development Department. She also instructed to conduct timely health checkup, vaccination and weighing of pregnant women, lactating mothers, children, and adolescent girls.
Efforts by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai’s government to provide basic facilities and benefits of government schemes to forest dwellers without any interruption in remote forest areas of Bastar region, especially Naxal-affected villages, are being successful. Under the government’s Niyyad Nellnar scheme, basic facilities like roads, electricity, water, health, education are now rapidly reaching these deprived villages. Director of Women and Child Development Department Tulika Prajapati and district level officers of the department were present in the meeting. All the officials discussed the implementation of the schemes and also deliberated on future plans. It is clear from this meeting that the government and the department are taking concrete steps to make the area malnutrition-free and to provide 100 percent benefits to women. Efforts are on to bring positive change in the condition of the area by following the instructions of the officials.
