CG BREAKING: Bail plea of ​​accused in Mahadev Satta App case rejected

The High Court has rejected the bail application of Amit Agarwal, accused of the online Mahadev Satta app. A case is registered against the accused in various police stations of the country including Mohan Nagar police station. The court has refused to release him on bail due to sufficient evidence against him. Let us tell you that Amit Kumar Agarwal, brother of Mahadev Satta App promoter Anil Agarwal, was arrested by the ACB on 12 January 2024 in the Hawala case. In May 2024, the ED has registered a separate case in the matter.

The accused Amit Agarwal, who is in jail, said in an application to the High Court that the applicant’s name is not in the FIR registered. He has been implicated in a false case. After hearing the case, Justice Ravindra Kumar Agarwal has rejected the bail application.

The applicant says that he is the younger brother of co-accused Anil alias Atul, who is one of the operators of Mahadev Book and is related. He is currently working in Dubai. 145 witnesses are to be cross-examined in the case. In this, citing the example of Supreme Court justices Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, bail was demanded. ED advocate Saurabh Pandey, opposing the bail, told the court that betting app has been used. The present applicant bought property in the name of his wife. The applicant Chaturbhuj Sharma made a transaction of Rs 1.20 crore on different dates, which was transferred to his and his wife’s account. Bank entries were made to deposit and receive cash in the accounts of his family members. Justice Ravindra Kumar Agarwal said in his order after hearing both the parties, the evidence collected during the investigation and the statements of witnesses come against the applicant. The court has refused to release him on bail due to sufficient evidence against him.
