Mohalla. On the occasion of World Toilet Day, an awareness program on toilet retrofitting is being organized through Kalajatha. District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Hemant Thakur today flagged off the cleanliness awareness chariot in the district office premises. This awareness chariot will reach 25 Gram Panchayats of the district along with giving a message to the villagers regarding cleanliness.
Collector S Jayavardhan has given instructions to conduct awareness programs to make the villagers aware about cleanliness. The villagers will be made aware through the awareness chariot. Through this, it will be told that awareness will be created regarding emptying of toilet pits as per requirement and arrangements for safe disposal of human excreta and sludge.
Similarly, how to make arrangements for drainage of dirty water from every house and at the community level and how to connect domestic drains to the community drain system.
Awareness will be created regarding safe drainage of dirty water and development of water purification system at the drain exit point. Similarly, villagers will be made aware regarding liquid waste management, human excreta, sludge management, solid waste management, making clean Sujal village ODF plus village, similarly, collecting wet waste from every house and treating it at the village level.
Making arrangements for collection of dry waste, facility for retrieving useful items from waste and proper disposal of waste will be created at the district level. Similarly, awareness will be created regarding conversion from one pit to two pit toilets through retrofitting, availability of functional toilets in all houses and regular use of toilets by all people.
This awareness will be spread in 25 villages of Rath district – Adejhar, Boirdih, Ghavdetola, Bital, Manjhitola, Dongargaon, Kahadkasa, Goplinchuva, Jiratola, Kalkasa, Kumhali, Handitola, Adamagodi, Kusumaksa, Salhe, Mangatola, Hoditola, Pendalkuhi, Ningamchuwa, Khoratola, Ranutola, After reaching Rajatola, Gotulmanda, Taramtola, Hitkasa, they will give a message to the villagers regarding cleanliness and make them aware.
