Meena said the issues of dead voters, duplicate cases and vote transfer applications were resolved through door-to-door survey. “We removed 5,64,819 names based on complaints received from political parties. In some constituencies, there have been complaints that a large number of applications are being made online. We have registered an FIR against 13 people who are reaching out to voters through fraudulent forms. 7 in Kakinada city. Six people have applied maliciously in Guntur West constituency.”
The CEO said, “We have registered cases under IPC and IT Act in Chandragiri constituency. We have taken action against 24 BLOs who violated there. Ten FIRs have been registered in Parchur. In cases where there are zero door numbers and more than 10.” Voters in the same household, we have completed the verification of 97 per cent of these and have revised the voter list.”
“There have been cases of voters from the same family being shifted to different polling stations in Visakhapatnam and NTR districts,” Meena said.
NTR District Collector Delhi Rao said that the district administration is all set to organize a two-day meeting of the ECI regarding the Special Summary Revision of Voters List – 2024 in Vijayawada from January 9 to 10.

On the first day, on January 9, ECI officials will meet recognized political party leaders from 10 am to 12 noon. All District Collectors and SPs will give a PowerPoint presentation on the election preparations so far.
The ECI team will hold a meeting with CEOs, APs, state police nodal officers, CAPF nodal officers and other enforcement agencies on January 10. Later, the team met Chief Secretary K.S. Will meet. Jawahar Reddy, DGP Rajendranath Reddy and other officials.
