Kolkata. Former Trinamool Congress leader Shahjahan is in CBI custody. His name is included among the accused in the attack on the ED (Enforcement Directorate) team. At the same time, Shahjahan’s close associates are currently on the radar of CBI. CBI is keeping a special eye on at least 10 people and on Monday, 10 people close to Shahjahan were called to Nizam Palace. CBI has arrested 3 people. According to CBI sources, the names of some of these were found from Shahjahan’s call details while the names of some were found by looking at the tower location of his phone. That is, on January 5, he was present in Akunjipada of Sandeshkhali. On Monday, Ziauddin, a close aide of Sheikh Shahjahan, also reached Nizam Palace. Before entering the CBI office he said, “I don’t know how many people have been called. When I got the letter I came.

It is noteworthy that on January 5, ED officials had gone to Sandeshkhali to investigate ration corruption. While searching the house of Sheikh Shahjahan in Akunjipada, Sarberia of Sandeshkhali, he was attacked. Cars of ED officers were vandalized. Not only this, some officers were also injured. Shahjahan’s close relatives were summoned on Monday in this matter. The Supreme Court has refused to interfere in the Calcutta High Court’s order handing over the investigation into the attack on ED officers in Sandeshkhali to the CBI. During the hearing, the Supreme Court raised questions on the attitude of the West Bengal government. The Supreme Court asked the West Bengal government that 42 FIRs were registered against Shahjahan Sheikh. Since when has this FIR been registered? After all, why was there so much delay in arresting Shahjahan Sheikh? In fact, on March 5, the Calcutta High Court had ordered to hand over the investigation of the attack on ED officers to the CBI. The High Court had said that the accused Shahjahan Sheikh is a very influential person and has connections with the ruling party. The state police played a game of hide and seek to save him.
