Yagdha: There is a lot of panic in Gudri and Gunupur of Rayagada district of Odisha as a tiger has killed cattle in the area. A tiger killed and ate a cow in Amkhola forest of Gunupur forest area. Padmapur Forest Department has removed the injured carcass of the cow from the forest.
There the forest department has found footprints of a huge tiger. The Forest Department is alerting the people of nearby villages believing that the tiger has killed and eaten the cow. Efforts have been started to monitor the movements of the tiger by installing trap cameras. Tiger footprints have also been found near Pulputi, Jhumpapur in Gunupur range.
This is spreading panic among the people. In the last two days, the Forest Department had marked footprints on the banks of the river in Gudri forest area.
A few days ago, while hunting a cow in Gudri forest, the tiger ran away leaving the hunt due to disturbance by the villagers. It was found that the cow later died.
