Lucknow: The Tourism Department of Uttar Pradesh, in partnership with MotoHome, has launched caravan tourism in the state, an important step towards enhancing family-centric travel experiences.
The initiative aims to address housing challenges in areas where proper facilities are lacking.
Caravan Tourism is set to bring a new perspective to tourism in Uttar Pradesh, exclusively catering to family-oriented travel. Motorhome caravans can accommodate six to eight people and have sleeping arrangements for up to six people.
The vehicle is equipped with two toilets and cooking facilities, ensuring a comfortable and convenient travel experience. Caravan booking can be done through UP Tourism State Development Corporation Limited.
To mark the launch, a promotional offer allows full day booking for around Rs 35,000. This covers travel up to 350 km, with an additional charge of Rs 150 per kilometer for distance beyond the initial limit.
Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh expressed hope that the new facility will give a big boost to tourism in the state. Acknowledging Uttar Pradesh’s dominant position in domestic tourism, he stressed on the goal of achieving equal status for foreign tourists also.
The launch of Caravan Tourism underlines the State’s commitment to provide diverse and enriching travel experiences, especially for families, as a step towards enhancing tourism in Uttar Pradesh.
