Srinagar (IANS) | A private car exploded in Srinagar, but no one was injured, including an elderly couple traveling in it. The police gave this information on Sunday. The explosion occurred at the rear of a Honda City vehicle number JK01M0878 on Boulevard Road, a police official said.
Police said a couple identified as Hafizullah Bhat, a resident of Kralsangari in Nishat, was traveling in the vehicle at the time.
Both are safe, the officer said. Prima facie the explosion seems to be due to some equipment fault. A police team is on the spot.
