Tamil Nadu: The Adyar Cancer Research Institute launched a new website called PASA-ITANGANAT on Wednesday. This website is dedicated to tracking cancer cases reported in Tamil Nadu.
The public and researchers will now have easy access to Tamil Nadu Cancer Registry data online. The website was launched to mark the centenary of Dr. V. Shantha, former chairman of the Adyar Cancer Institute. Cancer patients can search for their age, gender, year of diagnosis, district of residence, and cancer type individually or in combination, without the need to provide personal information.
In addition, information can be obtained about recent cancer statistics, cancer rates, and their impact in the coming years. This information is said to be of great benefit to health officials, doctors, researchers, and educators.
The administrator of the Adyar Cancer Research Center has stated that this platform will help improve cancer prevention measures and develop new treatment methods.
