Camps should become a medium of public service, eligible beneficiaries should not be deprived of schemes: Collector Langeh

Mahasamund. A public welfare camp was organized today in Karmapatpar Gram Panchayat of Bagbahara development block under the “Dharti Aaba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan”. District Panchayat Vice President Bhikkham Singh Thakur, Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh attended the event on this occasion. District Panchayat CEO S. Alok, SDM Umesh Kumar Sahu and Assistant Commissioner Tribal Development Shilpa Say, local public representatives were present with them. Collector Mr. Langeh, while highlighting the objectives of this campaign sponsored by the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs, said that the main objective of such camps is to ensure that eligible persons residing in tribal areas are not deprived of government schemes and services.
The government intends to ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach the last person, for this all the departmental staff will have to make coordinated efforts. He inspected the stalls of various departments set up in the camp and directed the concerned officials to ensure result-oriented work and provide complete information about the schemes to the beneficiaries in simple language. Collector Shri Langeh also interacted with the beneficiaries present in the camp and listened to their problems and directed for immediate solution. The Collector told the officials that the camp should not be a mere formality, it should be an opportunity for public service, where positive changes can be brought in the lives of people by linking them with schemes.

Apart from this, camps were organised in Pirda under Pithora development block, Telibandha under Mahasamund development block and Arjunda under Saraipali development block. Villagers participated in the camp in large numbers. In all the camps, beneficiaries were benefited from various schemes of the government in the presence of public representatives. In which 279 beneficiaries were registered to benefit from various schemes in Karmapatpar camp. After testing, they will be benefited immediately. In these, 79 beneficiaries were registered for Aadhar card, 11 for Shramik card, 17 for ration card, 55 for Ayushman card, 6 for job card, 10 each for caste certificate, residence certificate and income certificate. 11 farmers were registered under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi and 9 women were registered under Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Similarly, Jan Dhan account of one beneficiary was opened and 2 people were insured. Sickle cell screening of 33 people and health check-up of 56 people were done by the Health Department. Similarly, 141 beneficiaries were registered in Pirda camp to provide benefits under various schemes. In these, 18 beneficiaries were registered for Aadhar card, 08 for ration card, 02 for Ayushman card, 49 for caste certificate, 49 for residence certificate and 4 farmers for Kisan Credit Card. Similarly, bank accounts of 05 beneficiaries were opened. One beneficiary got approval for widow pension. Registration of 02 pregnant women in PM Matru Vandan Yojana and sickle cell screening of 03 people was done by the Health Department. Similarly, 163 beneficiaries were registered in Mahasamund Telibandha camp. In which Aadhar card 37, ration card 18, Ayushman card 16, caste certificate 20, residence certificate 27, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 11 were registered. Also, sickle cell test of 32 people was done. In Saraipali Arjunda camp, 99 beneficiaries were registered to benefit from various schemes. In which 13 beneficiaries were registered for ration card, 11 for Ayushman card, 24 for caste certificate, 21 beneficiaries were registered in various pensions and sickle cell test of 30 people was done by the health department.
