Calangute police pulls up Mumbai engineering students for stunting in open jeep

Calangute: Calangute police arrested the driver of a rental vehicle who was driving recklessly on Sunday night. The vehicle carried seven people on all four wheels, all engineering students who enjoyed the ride.

The conductor was produced before the first class judicial magistrate of Mapusa and fined Rs 20,000.

In Calangute, some students were seen engaging in risky behavior while sitting in a vehicle with traction on all four wheels. They saw a red rental car passing through Calangute, with two female tourists standing on either side of the vehicle, risking their lives.

It is taking freedom to extreme levels, promoting dangerous acrobatics and violating safety norms. These actions not only pose a threat to the individuals involved, but also jeopardize Goa’s reputation as a safe and welcoming tourist destination.

Car rental companies and traffic police should communicate with those renting vehicles in Goa and warn against this type of irresponsible behavior and violation of motorized vehicles rules.
