Businessman arrested with Rs 7 lakh cash in railway station, caught by RPF
Raipur. In view of the pre-election, on Monday, under the guidance of Divisional Security Commissioner Raipur, Mandir Hasaud Task Team in-charge Taruna Sahu, Assistant Sub-Inspector Narendra and Head Constable BL Yadav, the passengers coming from train number 22815 Ernakulam Express were checked out in platform 1. While leaving, a person was stopped near the stairs. When asked about his name and address, Mahesh Panjwani, father Bhojmal Panjwani, age 45 years, resident of Mahashakti ward, Bhatapara police station, Bhatapara district, Baloda Bazar (Chhattisgarh), when asked about the black bag kept with him, he told that there was cash in the bag. And the cash was said to be ₹ 750000 (seven lakh fifty thousand).
When asked for documents regarding carrying the said cash, no one could present valid documents on the spot. After immediately giving the above information to the senior officers, the said person was brought to Railway Protection Force Post Raipur, where the information was immediately given to Flying Squad Assembly Raipur North Zone Executive Magistrate Deepti Tiwari. After this, the said team carried out seizure proceedings and took it into custody.
