Business: Vivo Y28s and Y28e launched in the affordable segment

Business Business: Smartphone maker Vivo has expanded its Y series and launched two new smartphones in India. Both the phones named Vivo Y28s and Y28e have been launched in the affordable segment.

Both the smartphones are equipped with MediaTek chipsets. They have a 5,000 mAh battery for power. These phones will be available for sale on Flipkart.

Vivo Y28s and Y28e launched in India

Vivo has brought the Y28S smartphone in three variants. Which includes 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB. Their prices are Rs 13,999, Rs 15,499 and Rs 16,999 respectively. Both smartphones will be available online on Flipkart, Vivo India e-store and all retail stores in the country from today (July 8, 2024). Y28s comes with Vintage Red and Twinkling Purple. While the Y28e comes in Vintage Red and Breeze Green colours.

Display: The Vivo Y28s and Y28e feature a 6.56-inch high brightness sunlight display with a peak brightness of up to 840 nits and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The Y28s has an HD+LCD display and includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, while the Y28e has an HD display.
Camera: The Y28s has a dual rear camera setup. It includes the segment’s first 50 MP Sony IMX 852 camera. The Vivo Y28e, on the other hand, has a 13MP main camera. On the front, the Y28s has an 8MP portrait camera, while the Y28e has a 5MP portrait camera.

Performance: The Vivo Y28s and Y28e are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100 5G processor built on a 6nm advanced process and octa-core CPU architecture with a clock speed of up to 2.4 GHz. They are equipped with 8GB of RAM that can be expanded up to 16GB.

Battery and OS: These smartphones run on Android 14 operating system with the company’s own Funtouch OS on top. Both the smartphones are backed by a 5000 mAh battery that comes with 15W fast charging support.
