Bus of villagers going for Chief Minister’s program overturned in Umaria, 3 killed

Umaria (IANS) | In Madhya Pradesh’s Umaria district, a bus carrying villagers going to participate in the state-level employment day program organized in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Governor Mangubhai Patel overturned to save the motorcycle riders. Three people have died and more than 20 have been injured in this accident.

Villagers from different parts of the district were reaching here by buses to participate in the Employment Day program of Umaria. One of these buses went uncontrolled and overturned while trying to save a motorcycle rider on the National Highway overbridge. Three people have died in this accident while 20 people have been injured.

As soon as the information about the accident was received, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Governor Mangubhai Patel reached the hospital and inquired about the condition of the injured. Also instructed the doctors and administrative staff of the district hospital to provide better treatment facilities.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who came to participate in the program, postponed the reception program, but continued the program related to the common man. On this occasion, he announced that financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each would be given to the families of those killed in the accident and each person would be provided a job according to their qualification. At the same time, along with financial assistance, the injured will also get treatment facilities from the government.
