As many as 45 passengers had a narrow escape as the Volvo bus in which they were traveling, rammed into a truck on the four-lane highway near Garamoda in Bilaspur district today.
The truck, which was carrying clinker from the Darlaghat cement plant to Ghanauli in Punjab, rammed into a crash barrier.
Two persons were reportedly injured in the accident. While one had minor injuries, the other, who has been identified as Prateek, was seriously injured and rushed to the Nalagarh hospital.
It has been learnt that the tourist bus was going from Manali to Chandigarh and hit the truck which was moving ahead of it as the bus driver lost control over the wheel. It has been alleged that the bus driver was over-speeding on the hilly road.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar said the police had registered a case and started investigation.
