Manendragarh. A high-speed bus carrying pilgrims from Amarkantak to Janakpur crushed three people standing on the roadside in Janakpur late in the evening. 3 people died on the spot in the accident. After the collision, the bus also hit a tree. Among the passengers traveling on the bus, 15 people were also injured. The bus driver ran away leaving the tourists behind. According to the information, the accident happened at Manendragarh turn of Janakpur police station area. A bus of Pakshiraj company had gone to Amarkantak carrying pilgrims from Madi Sarai of Janakpur. The bus returning with the pilgrims reached Manendragarh turn at around 8 pm. Meanwhile, the driver could not control the bus while going downhill and crushed three people standing near the egg cart.
All three died on the spot after being crushed and buried under the bus. The body of one was mutilated. On receiving information about the accident, Janakpur SDM Moolchand Chopra, police station in-charge Om Prakash Dubey reached the spot along with the police force. The police and administrative staff took the passengers on the bus to the hospital. The passengers traveling in the bus also suffered injuries when it collided with a tree and overturned. About 15 pilgrims were seriously injured. Some have also suffered minor injuries. All were given first aid at Janakpur Community Health Centre. The condition of the passengers traveling on the bus is said to be out of danger. There was chaos at the spot after the incident. Eyewitnesses were also horrified after seeing the accident. Within no time, three people died after the bus came under them. After the incident, the bus driver left the bus and ran away. It has been told that the bus of Pakshiraj company in which the accident took place was bought by another bus operator. The police is investigating the matter
