Burugampahad Sarapaka National Highway Riddled With Potholes

The condition of the roads in Burgampahad mandal has become worse than it was three years ago. The authorities concerned have repaired the potholed roads in the wake of the Mukkoti Utsavam at the Sri Seetharamachandraswamy temple in Bhadrachalam. However, the national highway in the mandal center is again seen with potholes less than three months after the festival is over. In late October, former MLA and BRS district president Rega Kantha Rao organized a selfie with potholes program for BRS leaders and called on BRS leaders to protest wherever there are potholes.

At that time, within a matter of days, the authorities responded and undertook a repair program for the potholed roads. However, just three years after the repairs were undertaken, the repaired roads appeared with potholes again. Due to this, the difficulties faced by motorists traveling on the national highway are indescribable. Motorists are complaining that traveling on these roads has become hellish.

Even though the CM is visiting, he doesn’t care.

State Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will be coming to Bhadrachalam on Friday for the Sri Rama Navami celebrations. Although his visit has been officially finalized, the concerned authorities are ignoring the potholes on the national highway, and motorists are angry that they are showing such negligence. However, since the main road to Bhadrachalam is through Manuguru Cross Road, the CM will come to ITC BPL School by helicopter and go to Bhadrachalam by road… The people are also complaining that the officials of the concerned department have not taken up repairs on the potholed road because they are not on the main national highway from Burgampahad to Sarapaka. The people of the mandal and motorists are demanding that the potholed road be repaired immediately, keeping in mind the difficulties of motorists, as thousands of vehicles travel on this road.
