Manipur: Violence has been going on in the state for 2 years, in such a situation, 50 MLAs including Chief Minister Biren Singh should resign immediately, as 13 public organizations have demanded resignation. After the killing of 6 people of the Meitei ethnic group in Manipur, the houses of the Chief Minister, ministers and MLAs were attacked, set on fire and 13 civil organizations have made this demand.

There has been a conflict going on between the Meitei-Kuki people in Manipur for 2 years. At present, the Kuki people are fighting with weapons. They are demanding a separate administrative body for the Kuki people. So far more than 200 people have been killed in these clashes. In this situation, thousands of people left as refugees, six people including children and women of the Meitei ethnic group were killed and thrown into the river. The houses of Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh, ministers and MLAs were attacked and set on fire by the Meitei people. After this, internet service has been shut down in Manipur and curfew has been imposed.

In such a situation, 13 public organizations united and demanded that Chief Minister Biren Singh and 50 MLAs should resign from their posts because they could not find a practical solution to the unrest. Chanda Nahakpam, spokesperson of this public association, said that the Meitei women and children abducted by Kuki armed groups could not be saved alive by the Manipur government. Despite repeated appeals to the government, the government remains silent. This is why people are revolting. Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh and 50 MLAs should also resign. He said, until then all citizens should hoist black flags on their houses.
