Jagdalpur. On Thursday morning, a soldier posted at Kudur Camp in Kondagaon district tried to commit suicide by shooting himself with his service gun. As soon as information about the incident was received, a team of officers arrived. The injured soldier was brought to the district hospital for treatment. There is talk of sending him to Raipur for better treatment. The police have started investigating this matter.
It is being told that the CAF soldier posted in 5th Battalion F Company was posted in Kudhur Camp of Kondagaon. On Thursday morning around 7.30 am, suddenly the sound of gunshot was heard in the camp. After this, when the fellow soldiers heard the sound of firing, they all reached towards the barracks.
The injured soldier is a resident of Sihawa city Dhamtari. Colleagues saw the injured soldier lying on the ground in a bloody condition. He was immediately taken to the district hospital, where apart from Kondagaon SP, the police team reached the spot. Kondagaon SP Y. Akshay Kumar told that the soldier had shot himself in the stomach. The condition of the soldier is said to be fine now. The injured will be sent to Raipur for better treatment.
