Business Business: The BSE SME index rose 2.8 per cent to hit the level of 97,785 in intra-day deals on Thursday. Meanwhile, the mainline BSE benchmark index – BSE Sensex was down 0.5 per cent or 380 points at 79,090. The overall breadth in the BSE SME space also remained quite positive; 57 per cent (114 stocks) rose as against 72 declining stocks on the platform. 26 stocks were closed at the respective upper limits, including 24 stocks at the 5 per cent upper limit. Besides, 8 stocks hit new all-time highs today, while a total of 12 stocks witnessed new 52-week highs. Among individual stocks, Storage Technologies & Automation (STAL) closed at a 20 per cent upper circuit at Rs 193 on the back of 3.54 lakh shares traded on the counter. Buy orders were pending for 1.18 lakh shares. STAL in an exchange filing last week had announced the inauguration of its new sales office in Thane district of Mumbai. CRP Risk Management rose 8.4 per cent to Rs 9.92. Around 14,000 shares were traded on the counter. The stock is trading close to its 52-week low of Rs 7.16. Its 52-week high is Rs 35.25. CRP Risk Management today announced key changes in management in an exchange filing. The board of the company approved the appointment of Kinjal Darshit Parakhia as additional director for a period of 5 years. Also, approved the resignation of Nisha Asrani from the post of director due to personal reasons.
