The BSA Goldstar 650 by Classic Legends is all set to arrive in the Indian market on August 15, 2024. The Goldstar 650 which has already been on sale in the international markets, will rival the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
BSA will be the third brand of Classic Legends in India. Tough, the price will be revealed on August 15. Here is how much the motorcycle is expected to cost in India.
The Goldstar 650 is powered by a single-cylinder 650cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. It also features a dual-cradle frame, telescopic front forks, spoke wheels, and a dual-pod analogue console with a small LCD.
The Goldstar 650 will be manufactured in India, which will help the company in securing low input cost. This will ultimately affect the price of the motorcycle. Moreover, the conventional cycle parts and simple engine construction will keep the manufacturing costs low.
Adding the inclusion of traditional components will make the manufacturing cost much lower.
Moreover, the company might keep the price low to attract attention and gain a upper hand in the competition with rival Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, which has a starting price of Rs. 3.03 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, the Interceptor 650 is the most affordable twin-cylinder motorcycle in India.
Considering all these factors, we think the starting price of the BSA Goldstar 650 will be around Rs. 2.40-2.60 lakh (ex-showroom), at least for the initial few months as an introductory price. There could be different colour options and the prices may vary accordingly. This pricing will help Classic Legends create a significant mark in the middle-weight motorcycle category and give the Goldstar 650 an edge over the popular Interceptor 650.
