UP: A heart-wrenching case has come to light from Maharajganj. Where a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in the Kotwali police station area of ​​the district headquarters. A police officer gave this information on Sunday. According to the information, when the girl was playing outside her house on Saturday night, 35-year-old Dharmendra, who was drunk, caught her and allegedly raped her after stuffing a cloth in her mouth.

According to the rape officer, when the villagers reached the spot after hearing the girl’s screams, they caught Dharmendra and beat him up badly and then handed him over to the police. In this case, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Aatish Kumar Singh said that a case of a youth raping a minor girl has come to light in the Kotwali police station area.

He said that a case was immediately registered against the accused in the Kotwali police station under relevant sections. The accused has been arrested and further legal action is being taken in the case. He said that the girl has been admitted to the district hospital in critical condition.
