Brother-in-law was against love marriage, took a dreadful step after seeing sister-in-law at in-laws’ house

Bilaspur. The sister-in-law of the young man living in Nagpura of Sirgitti area had got married for love a year ago. Angered by this, the brother-in-law used to forbid his sister-in-law from coming to her parents’ house. Here the girl’s relatives opposed it. Due to this matter, the young man reached his in-laws on Friday afternoon and committed suicide. The seriously burnt youth was first admitted to SIMS. Later the doctors referred him to Raipur. Kotwali police station in-charge Kamala Pusam said that Om (38), living in Nagpura of Sirgitti area, has his in-laws house in Katiyapara. His wife Pinky Srivas had come to her parents’ home three days ago. Om Prakash Shriwas came to his in-laws’ house at around 9 pm on Thursday night. During this time his sister-in-law also came there. He had a love marriage about a year ago. Omprakash was angry with this. He used to forbid his sister-in-law from coming to his parents’ house. He also forbade his in-laws from inviting his sister-in-law. Here the in-laws did not stop the girl from coming and going.
The young man also used to argue with his in-laws regarding this matter. Even on Thursday night, he argued with his in-laws when his sister-in-law arrived. After this he returned to his home. He came to his in-laws’ house around three o’clock on Friday afternoon. Some distance away from the house he poured kerosene oil on himself and set himself on fire. Seeing this the people around were also shocked. Somehow the fire was extinguished and the police was informed about the incident. After this, the seriously burnt youth was admitted to SIMS. TI Kamla reached Pusam Sims after getting information about the incident. He informed the young man’s relatives about the incident. After this the in-laws were interrogated. Here, when the condition of the youth became serious, the doctors referred the youth to Raipur.
