Borrower shot dead in Andhra Pradesh, another injured

Amaravati (IANS) | A man shot dead a borrower while another was injured in Andhra Pradesh’s YSR Cuddapah district on Tuesday. Police has given this information. According to media reports, the incident took place in Pulivendula, the assembly constituency of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Sheep trader Bharat Kumar Yadav opened fire with his gun, killing Dilip and injuring Mehboob Basha.

The incident is said to be related to a dispute between Yadav and Dilip over some financial transaction. Preliminary investigation by the police revealed that Yadav had lent some money to Dileep in the past and was insisting on repaying.

On Tuesday, a fight broke out between the two near the Venkateswara Swamy temple over the same issue. An angry Yadav came out of his house with a gun and started firing. Dilip has a bullet in his chest. While his friend Mehboob Basha who was standing nearby and tried to intervene was also injured in the crossfire. Yadav fled from the spot with a pistol.

On the information of the local people, the police reached the spot and admitted the injured to Pulivendula Area Hospital. Dilip was admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Cuddapah when his condition became critical, where he succumbed to his injuries. The police have registered a case and started searching for the attacker.
