Bollywood: The era of tremendous comeback Son of Sardaar 2, a sequel to Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt’s 2012 comedy film Son of Sardaar is in the making. According to reports, Ajay and Sanjay will reunite in a fun show, but this time reports claim that Mrunal Thakur will play the lead role instead of Sonakshi Sinha. Reports claim that the shooting of the film will begin soon in Scotland. Though the actors will be seen again as Billu and Jassi, the story will be new. A source told Mid-Day: “As said, since the audience loved the characters of Billu and Jassi, it is expected that both actors will stick to their character names. However, its dynamics will be different. While Son of Sardaar had differences between the two leading to entertaining results, this time their rivalry will be intense, with Sanjay’s role leaning towards the antagonist. Off-screen, both actors are close friends and Ajay has ensured that Sanjay plays a brilliant role in the second part.

“The management team did a recce earlier this year and scouted the picturesque towns of Glencoe y Glenfinnan as well as sites like Culross Palace, Doune Castle, Preston Mill and Falkland Palace. The locations make an apt backdrop for the type of action and drama the director has in mind. A few romantic songs featuring Ajay and Mrunal will also be shot in the beautiful locations of the country,” the source added. The film will be directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and will come almost 12 years after the original film. The first film had Ajay Devgn trying to win the hand of Sonakshi Sinha by trying to impress her elder brother, played by Sanjay Dutt. However, Sonakshi Sinha will reportedly not be a part of the sequel. The release date of the film is yet to be decided. “The management team did a recce earlier this year and had completed the picturesque towns of Glencoe and Glenfinnan as well as sites like Culross Palace, Doune Castle, Preston Mill and Falkland Palace.
