BJP’s ‘Kerala’ master plan: Candidates will take charge of constituencies

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The BJP has prepared a special plan to make a great progress in the state in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. The BJP’s move is to appoint candidates contesting the elections as Prabharis (in-charges) by giving them the responsibility of that constituency. The BJP is experimenting the new move in the constituencies where it came second in the last election. The BJP has gained great confidence after winning brilliantly in three constituencies in the assembly elections.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar will be prabhari in Thiruvananthapuram, where the BJP came second in the last election. K Surendran in Attingal, Anoop Antony in Pathanamthitta, Shobha Surendran or Sandeep Vachaspati in Alappuzha, and Chathannoor MLA B B Gopakumar in Kollam are being considered as Prabharis. The Prabharis will be considered within two weeks. The leadership has directed them to spend full time in the constituency afterwards.
The BJP had lost some of the seats it had hoped for in the last assembly elections. Palakkad was one of them. This led to criticism in the BJP core committee that the reason for Shobha Surendran’s defeat was that she did not work in a constituency-based manner. Considering this, the BJP is fielding leaders to work in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections right now.
