BJP’s CEC holds meeting to finalize names of Karnataka candidates

New Delhi (IANS) | With one month left for the Karnataka assembly elections, the BJP’s Central Election Commission on Sunday met at the party headquarters here to finalize the names of the candidates. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, party president JP Nadda, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, senior party leader BS Yeddyurappa and other state leaders arrive at the BJP headquarters for the meeting.

According to top sources, the CEC meeting took place to finalize the names of the candidates and the final list may undergo major changes as political exigencies arise. The list of names of maximum candidates can be released on Monday.

Earlier on Saturday, Shah held a meeting at Nadda’s residence to discuss and finalize the list of candidates for the May 10 polls.
