Bhopal: BJP MLA’s son hit five people with his Thar vehicle. However, the BJP MLA threatened the police officer investigating the case. He warned his son to stop him in the area if he dares. This has drawn criticism. (BJP MLA Threatens Cops) The incident took place in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh. BJP MLA Pritam Lodhi’s son Dinesh Lodhi was driving a Thar vehicle at high speed in Karera in Shivpuri district on April 16. He jumped the vehicle and hit three people on a bike and two women walking on the side of the road. All five were injured in the accident. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA Pritam Lodhi has openly threatened Karera Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDOP) Ayush Jakhar, who is investigating the accident case committed by his son. “I cannot digest the words of Karera SDOP. He warned my son not to appear here again. I want to ask the SDOP. Is Karera your ‘father’? I usually don’t say this. But now I want to make it clear. My son will return to Karera. He will contest the elections. If your ‘father’ has the guts, I will try to stop him,” he challenged.
Moreover, BJP MLA Pritam Lodhi also warned that retaliatory action will be taken against the police officer. “I would like to remind SDAP to look at our history once. If you make false allegations against us, put unnecessary pressure on us, or conduct a biased investigation, we will not tolerate it. We will definitely give you a befitting reply. All I have to say to such officers is, stay within your limits, stay within your jurisdiction,” he said in a public warning. In this context, BJP MLA Pritam Lodhi was criticized.
