Shimla. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, while addressing journalists in Nadaun, said that BJP is working with anti-Himachal viewpoint and has failed to play the role of positive opposition. He said that no BJP MP met Prime Minister Narendra Modi or other central leaders to seek financial help for the disaster affected Himachal Pradesh. Not only this, as per the rules, the state government has sent claims worth about Rs 9700 crore to the central government, which Himachal Pradesh should have received in the month of December, but BJP leaders are creating hurdles in releasing this amount.
He appealed to the BJP leaders not to create obstacles in the financial assistance being provided to Himachal Pradesh and also not to make false claims of getting special financial assistance from the Centre. He said that if the Central Government has given any special economic package to Himachal Pradesh in connection with the disaster, then BJP leaders should inform about it. He said that when a resolution was brought in the Assembly to declare the disaster in Himachal Pradesh as a national disaster, the BJP MLAs opposed it and the BJP did not stand with the disaster affected.
On the question of allotment of departments to the ministers, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the departments have been assigned to the newly appointed ministers and the ministers from whom the departments have been taken will be given the newly created departments as per their existing departments. He said that the state government is going to reorganize the departments and some new departments will be created in the coming time. He said that in the coming time, Infrastructure Department and Artificial Intelligence Department will be created so that decision making becomes easier and the functioning of the state government can run smoothly.
CM Sukhu said that the central government undertakings are opposing the water cess. Along with this, Rs 4300 crore of BBMB is stuck with the Central Government, which is not being released by the Central Government. He said that the interests of Himachal Pradesh were not kept in mind in Luhri, Sunni and Dhaula Siddh hydro power projects and the interests of the state were sold during the tenure of the previous BJP government.
