Raipur. On the 300th birth anniversary of Ahilya Bai Holkar, a seminar was organized by BJP Jawahar Nagar Mandal at Dular Dharamshala Badhai Para on Tuesday. In which special invited speaker Sandeep Sharma, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Food Commission, called upon all the people present to adopt the ideals of Ahilya Bai. Told that the rule of Maratha ruler Ahilya Bai Holkar was famous for foresight, justice, public welfare works.

Ruled the Malwa region from 1767 to 1795. He made many reforms, which made the state prosperous and cultured. Ahilyabai focused on the development of education, health and infrastructure in her state. Got roads, bridges and public buildings constructed, which promoted trade and mobility. Ahilyabai established a well-organized and efficient administration. Also supported women empowerment. Women were encouraged to participate in education and business.
