Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik has been invited for the swearing in ceremony of Odisha Chief Minister, said reports in this regard.
According to reports, State BJP President Manmohan Samal, Suresh Pujari, Basanta Panda and Nityananda Ganda visited Naveen Patnaik to invite him to the swearing-in ceremony.
The representative team reached Naveen Niwas to personally handover the invitation card to BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik. He has been invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony that is scheduled to be held on Wednesday.
Tomorrow the BJP Chief Minister will take oath for the first time in Odisha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Ministers of various states and Union Ministers are coming to Odisha to participate in the swearing-in ceremony. After inviting the former CM Manmohan Samal said, Naveen Patnaik has agreed to grace the oath-taking ceremony at 4:15 pm.
On the other hand, in view of the swearing-in ceremony and the visit of the Prime Minister, the Commissionerate Police has issued a 5-hour traffic restriction. Vehicular traffic has been banned from Jaydev Vihar to Nalco Street from 2 pm to 7 pm. Similarly all roads connecting this route will also be sealed. The Police Commissioner clarified that there will be no traffic on this road either.
Similarly, IG Praveen Kumar will oversee Janata Maidan security. DIG will take care of the the traffic arrangements. 13 DCPs, 18 ADCP rank officers will also be in charge. There will be 58 ACPs, 94 Inspectors, 312 SI/ASIs. Traffic restrictions will continue in the concerned areas from 2 am to 7 pm tomorrow. Along with this, 67 platoon police force will be deployed in Bhubaneswar. Police Commissioner Sanjib Panda informed in this regard.
