Raipur. A youth from Birgaon has been arrested for selling liquor in an auto. Khamtarai police team received information from an informer that a person is illegally selling liquor in his auto no. CG 04 KT 1359 behind Manav Motors in Khamtarai Raipur.
On raiding the place mentioned by the informer, a person was found who had kept liquor in a white coloured plastic bag. On asking his name and address, he told his name as Mohammad Aftab, son of late Abdul Jabbar, age 20 years, resident of Ghazi Nagar Birgaon, Urla police station, Raipur district. 90 quarters of Desi Unique liquor worth Rs. 8100 and his auto no. CG 04 KT 1359 worth Rs. 50,000 were seized from the possession of the accused and a case number 50/25 under section 34 (2).59 (a) of Excise Act was registered at Khamtarai police station and action was taken and the accused was sent on judicial remand.
