Biju Patnaik Park in Cuttack renovated at cost of Rs 26 cr inaugurated by Minister Krushna Chandra Mohapatra

Cuttack: The Biju Patnaik park reopened in Cuttack after renovation at a cost of Rs 26 crores. The Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mohapatra inaugurated the park on Monday.
Speaking at the inauguration, he said that it is a gift for the people of Cuttack. “We are hell bent to create a fitness, healthy and environment friendly area,” he said. Amongst the major attraction of the park is the 1.5 kilometer synthetic running track which has been made keeping in view the requirements of the fitness freaks.
CDA Vice-chairman Anam Patra said that a concentration centre has also been opened for the well-being of the individuals. For beautification, specially curated bonsai plants have been planted. EPDM walking tracks, 10 tower foundation, Koraput coffee centres, playgrounds for children, open air gymnasium, sitting bench, rain rest shed, lights have also been made.
This has been developed by the National Projects Construction Corporation Limited (NPCC). Organisations for the maintenance of the parks have been arranged, added the Minister. The foundation stone for the park was laid in 2023.
