Bijnor: A person was strangled to death during a money transaction, the accused arrested.

Bijnor: A person was strangled to death over money transaction in Noorpur police station area of Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. Police have arrested the accused.

According to the police, information was received at Noorpur police station on March 11. The caller informed about the dead body of an unknown person lying on the road leading to Gauhawar. On reaching the spot, the police team found the body of an unidentified man, whose age was said to be between 26 to 30 years. The deceased was identified as Afzal of Gohawar village.

Bijnor Senior Superintendent of Police Neeraj Kumar Jadaun said that during the investigation the suspect was identified as Nazim. Police arrested the accused Nazim.

During interrogation, Nazim revealed that he and the deceased had made a deal for the plant. For this, Rs 9.44 lakh was given to Afzal. But, Afzal had sold the plant to someone else. When asked for the money back, Afzal refused. Troubled by this, she called Afzal and later drank alcohol. When Afzal became drunk, he strangulated him to death.
