Bihar Police crackdown: 10 inspectors suspended

Bihar: Major action has come to light within the police department in Kosi region of Bihar. Kosi Range DIG Kumar Ashish has suspended 10 sub-inspectors of Saharsa, Madhepura and Supaul districts. All of them have been facing serious allegations of influencing the police investigation and case through brokers. Along with this, departmental inquiry has also been started in the entire matter. This case is related to Salkhua police station area of ​​Saharsa district, where a few days ago a video went viral on social media. In the video, it was revealed that the police investigation was being influenced by money. After the video went viral, the DIG ordered an immediate investigation. During the investigation, the police arrested a broker, Satish Kumar, seen in the video. He is a resident of Bahuruva village of Salkhua police station area. During the search, a laptop and many confidential documents related to the police investigation were recovered from him. It is alleged that he used to influence the cases by being active in the police stations and collected huge amount of money. According to the report, Satish Kumar’s network extended to many police stations in Saharsa, Madhepura and Supaul. He used to play the role of sitting in the police station and even writing the case diary. This has raised serious questions on the police system. The suspended officers include Salkhua police station incharge and inspectors of various police stations and district forces. The DIG has clearly said that corruption and brokerage in the police will not be tolerated at any cost. Departmental investigation is ongoing against all the accused and further action is likely to be taken in the case.
