Bihar News: People in Bihar are upset due to disruption in power supply. The electricity department is not backing down from its actions. A strange incident related to the electricity department has happened in Muzaffarpur district. The department issued a bill of Rs 31 lakh to the house of a common employee. The matter is of Simra Panchayat 9 Ward of Pierce police station area. Here the electricity department handed over a bill of Rs 31 lakh to a common employee. The surprising thing is that this electricity bill is valid only for two months.

Even after the installation of smart meters, electricity keeps coming and going

The employees are very worried and helpless due to this irresponsible attitude of the Electricity Authority. Electricity was also cut off for not paying the bill. The electricity connection in the house is in the name of the worker’s wife Phula Devi. The employee keeps visiting the department continuously to get it corrected. Two months ago, Smart Meters were installed in this worker’s house and electricity kept coming and going. Then suddenly the power went out. In this regard, the victim Shubhlal Sahni said that this electricity connection is in the name of my wife Phula Devi. About two months ago, the department had installed a smart electricity meter. Then electricity was supplied to the house for several days. After this, electricity stopped coming.
Charged for electricity, still…
Shubhal Sahni further said that even after charging Rs 400 on June 20, when the electricity supply was not working, he went to the electricity department and informed the officer about it and then came to know that he had a bill of about Rs 31 lakh pending. The employee was shocked to know that his outstanding electricity bill was in lakhs. The employee told that only two-three fans and bulbs were used in his house. Two months ago, there was an outstanding electricity bill of about Rs 2600. It is not clear how the bill became so big.
