Hajipur: A sensational double murder that took place in Vaishali district of Bihar on Sunday morning spread panic in the entire area. Not unknown, but a father and son were shot dead in a family dispute in Rajaso village of Bidupur police station area. The dead include an Indian Army soldier and his 60-year-old father. After the incident, there is an atmosphere of tension in the entire village, while the police reached the spot and started investigation.
The deceased have been identified as 60-year-old Munarik Rai and his 35-year-old son Jitendra Kumar. Jitendra Kumar was working in the Indian Army and had come to his village after taking leave a few days ago. According to family members, he had come home to spend time with his family, but this tragic incident happened during the holiday.
According to preliminary information, the incident took place on Sunday morning when the father and son were present in the village. During this time, heavy bullets were fired at him. Both of them got seriously injured and fell on the spot. Local people tried to save them, but both died on the spot.
As soon as information about the incident was received, Bidupur police station reached the spot and surrounded the entire area and started investigation. Police have collected evidence from the spot and have taken the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem. Forensic team was also called to the spot so that evidence could be collected scientifically.
The family members have alleged that this double murder was carried out by Munarik Rai’s nephew. The family claims that there was a dispute going on between the two parties regarding the road for a long time. Many times attempts were made to resolve the matter even at the Panchayat level, but the dispute did not end. It is alleged that this incident was carried out due to this rivalry.
Local people say that there had been many arguments and disputes between the two families regarding the use of the road. However, no one had any idea that the matter would become so serious that two people would lose their lives.
Police officials said that prima facie the matter seems to be related to mutual enmity and dispute over land or road. However, the real reasons for the incident will be revealed only after the investigation is completed. The police is investigating keeping all aspects in mind.
