Balasore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who reached the spot of the Odisha train accident, first took stock of the incident. After this, he interacted with the officials on the spot and took information from them. He also spoke to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said in Odisha, “This is the biggest train accident ever. A similar incident happened in 1981 as well. There was no anti collision device in this train, if it was there then this accident would not have happened. We will give Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the people of our state who died in this accident. We will extend full cooperation to the state government and the Railways in relief and rescue work.
Dr Jayant Panda of SCB Medical College, Cuttack said that after the train accident, more than 3000 units of blood have been collected since last night in Cuttack, Balasore and Bhadrak. We have also donated to the CM and PM relief funds.
There are many heart-wrenching stories of the Balasore train accident, listening to which anyone’s heart will be touched. An eyewitness told – the parents were dead and the child also died crying in front of them. The scene was very frightening.
