Bhubaneswar Special revision of voter list will start from May 30

Bhubaneswar: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the 2026 voter list in Odisha will begin on May 30, Odisha Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) RS Gopalan announced at a press conference held at the Media Centre on Friday.

The qualifying date for the revision has been set as July 1, 2026. According to the announced schedule, BLOs will go door-to-door from May 30 to June 28 to distribute and collect counting forms. During these visits, BLOs will give each voter two pre-printed forms and verify personal details, family information, and records with the 2002 voter list. Minor corrections to voter details will also be made on the spot. The draft electoral roll will be published on July 5, 2026. Citizens can submit claims and objections from July 5 to August 4, while the processing of claims and objections will continue until September 2. The final voter list will be published on September 6, 2026.
