Bhopal: Following the recent death of a 7-month-old baby due to mutilation, Madhya Pradesh minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday gave suggestions to the people of the state to stop the menace of street dogs.
On Wednesday, a pack of dogs attacked a child in Ayodhya Nagar, Bhopal. A video of the shocking incident, in which he cut his hand, has gone viral on social networks.
“To avoid such incidents, it is important to invite people to give suggestions so that appropriate steps can be taken,” Yadav said.
Expressing grief over the Bhopal incident, Yadav also ordered officials to provide financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the victim’s family of workers coming from Guna district.
Police said that after the family performed the last rites of the child on Wednesday, his body was exhumed and sent for autopsy on Saturday.
Ayodhya Nagar Inspector Mahesh Nilhare said that the child’s mother had made him sit on the ground to do work around her and the pack of dogs attacked him.
