Bhongir: The sheep and goat producers’ association on Friday directed the state government to start distribution of sheep units to herders who paid in the form of round the clock (DD) on seeing their share.
The association members received a memorandum from government chief Beera Ilaiah at his camp office in Yadagirigutta.
In an announcement made to the media, association president Dayala Narasimha said that 342 pastoralists have paid Rs 43,750 of their share to the cattle department of the district and they are waiting for the sheep units during the last eight months. , Apart from him, he said, other 13,715 pastoralists are entitled to the subsidized sheep distribution scheme.
Said that the Congress government should correct the errors of the scheme and distribute Ovina units as per the promise made during the assembly elections. Incited the state government to leave vacant posts in the veterinary department.
