Bhakhara police arrested 4 gamblers

Dhamtari news. Police has arrested 4 gamblers. Police station Bhakhara received information from an informer that some people are playing 52 cards gambling near the pond of village Pachpedi Panna Talab. Upon getting the information, police immediately went to the spot and cordoned off the area and conducted raid. 4 gamblers were caught red handed while gambling on the spot. Some of the accused fled after seeing the police.

On asking the names of the four persons caught gambling on the spot, they told their names as Maheshwar Sahu, age 24 years, Prakash Kumar Sahu, age 27 years, Yuvraj Sahu, age 28 years, and Sonsay Sahu, age 28 years, all four residents of village Pachpedi. On the spot, Rs 3130/- cash and 52 playing cards were seized from the gambling den in front of witnesses and legal action was taken under crime number 175/24 section 3(2) of Gambling Act, Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act 2022 of Police Station Bhokhara. In the entire action, PR. Khinesh Sahu, Triloki Baghel, constables Khuman Lal Sahu, Hemraj Netam, Ishwar Sahu, Khem Lal Nishad from Police Station Bhokhara made a special contribution.
