Bhagwant Mann insulted Bhagat Singh’s legacy

BJP Punjab unit president Sunil Jakhar on Sunday attacked Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for insulting the birthplace and legacy of Bhagat Singh by publicizing the corruption of tainted and jailed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
While Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders held a one-day hunger strike at Jantar Mantar and elsewhere in Delhi against the arrest of party national convener Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Excise Policy case, in Punjab under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Party leaders went on hunger strike. State level protest was held at Khatkar Kalan, the birthplace of Bhagat Singh in Nawanshahr.

Reacting to the developments, Jakhar said in a statement: “The skit performed by Mann at Khatkar Kalan on Sunday was most despicable and I condemn it in the strongest possible terms,” he said, adding, “Punjabis will never tolerate this crime.” do.”
Jakhar warned the Chief Minister not to play with people’s sentiments for his own political purposes, saying, “Punjabis will never forgive this attack on the shared honor and pride in the sacrifices of our greatest freedom fighters.”

“Their (AAP) leadership has already exposed its involvement in liquor scams in both Delhi and Punjab and the people of India have seen through their hollow promises and fake ideology. This cheap strategy to divert public attention will not save those who have defrauded public money by giving liquor contracts to their elected people through collusion and corruption.
Terming the act as “stomping to the lowest level” for petty political purposes, Jakhar said CM Mann should have actually led his MLAs to observe a fast in Tarn Taran, where a woman was paraded without clothes. Went and this government remained a mute spectator. For 15 days.
“The shameful incident in Tarn Taran and the specific response of this government epitomizes the non-existent law and order situation on the ground which is a deep cause for concern,” Jakhar said.
