Chandbali: In a tragic incident, the body of a 10 year old minor girl was found at a lonely place in front of the Baligaon Panchayat office under Chandbali NAC in Bhadrak district of Odisha on Tuesday evening. The family of the victim minor girl has lodged a police complaint alleging that she has been sexually abused and murdered. She was missing since today morning.
Demanding immediate arrest of the accused, the agitated locals have blocked the road. Chandbali police have reached the spot and started an investigation.
According to information, at 7 pm today, some people were surprised to see the body of the minor girl lying in a deserted place in front of the Panchayat office and informed others. It is alleged that the minor girl was raped and dumped in a bushy place in the dark.
Thousands of people have gathered at the scene of the incident. Chandbali police have reached the spot and seized the body and brought it to the Chandbali hospital for autopsy. Police have been deployed at the scene as tension prevails.
