Bengaluru: Dr HC Nagaraj, Principal, Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, said the need of the hour is to focus on the convergence of quantum computing with quantum machine learning and artificial intelligence. He was speaking after inaugurating an advanced training and teaching faculty development program on Tuesday as part of the ATAL FDP initiative focusing on quantum machine learning and AI. Technocrats, researchers and teachers from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Goa and other regions participated in the week-long program organized by NMIT’s Departments of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Electrical and Electronics Engineering, according to a release. Experts from organizations such as BosonQ PSI, MathWorks, Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCSR) Quantum Programming and QPIAI provided their insights. Head of AIML Department, Dr. Piyush Kumar Pareek and other faculty members were present.
