West Bengal Police has arrested Maoist leader Sabyasachi Goswami alias Kishore from Purulia district, carrying a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on his head, a senior police officer said on Friday. The police officer said Goswami was arrested from a forest near the Jharkhand border on Thursday night. “We got information about his activity near a forest near the Jharkhand border and launched a raid,” he told PTI. Eventually, we arrested him from the forest near Chaunia.” He said that some rounds of bullets, a 9mm pistol and some documents have been recovered from his possession. Goswami was in the most wanted list of NIA and had a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head. “We will present him in court today,” the officer said.
