Tamil Nadu : 24 suburban electric trains running between Chennai Beach-Velachery and Avadi will remain cancelled on Saturday and Sunday (May 17 and 18).

The construction work of the new railway flyover at Chennai Beach Railway Station will run from 10 pm on May 17 to 8 am on May 18. Due to this, 24 suburban electric trains running between Beach-Velachery, Avadi and Tiruvallur will remain cancelled during the construction period.
In this situation, for the convenience of passengers, 10 special passenger trains will be operated at an interval of 30 minutes from 5 am to 8 am on May 18. It is reported that on the same day, 3 trains between Avadi and Tiruvallur will be operated at an interval of 30 minutes from 6 am to 7.05 am and a special train from Avadi to Arakkonam will be operated at 5 am.
