Barabanki: Mentally challenged girl gang-raped, three accused arrested

Barabanki: Three people have been arrested in connection with the alleged gang rape of a mentally challenged girl in a Divyang school in Narendrapur village of Haidergarh Kotwali. Police gave this information. She told that two days ago, Sunita Devi, director of Amar Divyang Seva Sansthan Ashray Grih, had filed a case against the president of the institute and another official for gang rape of a girl and against one of their female companions for supporting this crime.
The director had given an application to the police saying that a mentally deranged girl (26) was kept in the institute whose mental condition was being improved. Sunita Devi has alleged that in April, the president of the institute Rajesh Ratnakar, former watchman Ram Kailash kidnapped this girl with the help of female member companion Amrita and gang raped her.
She had also accused these people that after this they made her disappear somewhere. Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Singh said today that the police have registered a case of gang rape and arrested the three accused and the matter is being investigated. He said that there is a dispute going on between the officials regarding the purchase and sale of land. He said that at present efforts are being made to trace the girl.
